curATalk Seminar Series

Within our curATime seminar series, Prof. Christoph Binder from the University of Vienna will give a presentation about „Humoral“ Immunity and Immune Homeostasis in Atherosclerosis on 23rd of November at 5 pm.

Prof. Binder's research focuses on the immune mechanisms of atherosclerosis and the immune recognition of oxidation-specific epitopes and how these responses can be exploited to protect from atherosclerotic lesion formation.

He is the head of the Department of Laboratory Medicine at the Medical University of Vienna and Principal Investigator at the Research Center for Molecular Medicine of the Austrian Academy of Sciences. Moreover, he is member of the curATime advisory board.

Our BMBF funded future cluster curATime - Cluster for Atherosclerosis and Individualized Medicine -, which is starting next spring, has targeted to reduce the incidence and impact of cardiovascular diseases in the population, thereby significantly reducing mortality.
